The AFC Policy Summit is a
great forum to discuss all aspects of educational choice. The conference has
different panels and discussions dedicated to a number of topics including
implementation of educational choice, why programs are so important to student
and families along with how to overcome challenges to choice policy.
A panel from the 2013 Summit examined how the manner in
which students are selected for public schools, mainly based on their ZIP code,
places children at a disadvantage. Choice offers a chance for every child to
have access to a quality education, no matter where they live.
